Spotlight Photograph: Yellow Rose
Today’s Spotlight Photograph is “Yellow Rose”. I came across this little gem one morning while I was attending a local rose festival here in Columbus Ohio. It wasn’t an optimal day for doing close-up photography, but I was determined to get something on this day. It was windy, the light was pretty harsh and the festival attendees were none too fond of my tripod. Eventually some clouds rolled in to give me some softer light. All I had to do now was wait for a lull in the wind. If I was out in the fields, I wouldn’t hesitate to use a plamp to hold the flower in place…carefully of course. However, I think the caretakers of the festival would frown upon that idea. Anyway, my patience paid off and the wind died down for a little while. This was the result:
