About
I’ve had a passion for nature for as long as I can remember. Early on in my life it was my desire to become a zoologist, but that was not to be. Instead, I wound up in the computer industry. I got my first job in the computer industry back in 1987 as a mainframe operator and I have spent most of the time since then as a Software Engineer. I’m now a Senior Software Architect / Engineer for a software development company in central Ohio.
Sometime in the year 2000, I bought a Fuji point & shoot camera that also allowed for manual operation. On a whim, I started to experiment with the exposures of my shots. It was at that time that I caught the photography bug and have been hooked ever since. In 2002 I bought a Nikon D100 DSLR camera. This is when my photography took a more serious turn as this
camera gave me the tools I needed to further explore and develop my own photographic style. I’m now shooting with Nikon D700 & D300 DSLRs and tend to specialize in Landscape and Wildlife photography.
There have been three main topics that I’ve been passionate about over the past three decades; nature, art, and computers. Now that digital photography has advanced to the state that it’s at today, I can combine these passions into one.
